DATING ADVICE

Be you!

When it comes to dating, authenticity goes a long way. It might sound cliché, but being yourself is key—not a version you think others want. Real connections are built on honesty, shared values, and mutual respect. So don’t be afraid to show your quirks, talk about what you love, and be upfront about what you're looking for.

Confidence doesn’t mean being perfect—it means being comfortable with who you are. The right person will appreciate that. So show up, be genuine, and let things unfold naturally.

How Does Speed Dating Work?

Speed Dating is a social event where you meet and interact with potential romantic or social partners in 5 minute mini dates!

  • The ladies are seated at individual tables and the guys rotate, giving you the opportunity to meet lots of singles in one evening!
  • You will have the opportunity to get to know one another, ask questions, and see if there is a connection.
  • At the end of each mini date, you simply indicate on your dating card: yes / no / friends.
  • There will be breaks throughout the event to allow you to grab refreshments or have a bathroom break.
  • After all the dates are completed, event organizers collect the feedback and match individuals who have expressed mutual interest.
  • If both participants are interested in each other, contact information will be exchanged.

Singles Nights

Singles Nights are social events designed for people who are single and open to meeting others for friendship, dating, or potential relationships. These events often include fun activities like games, ice-breakers or themed parties to help break the ice and encourage conversation. The goal is to create a relaxed, friendly environment where people can connect, mingle, and enjoy themselves—whether they find a romantic match or simply make new friends.

What is an Ice-Breaker?

An ice-breaker at a singles night is a fun, simple activity or question designed to help people start conversations and feel more comfortable interacting with new people. It "breaks the ice" by reducing awkwardness and creating a relaxed, playful atmosphere.

Examples of Ice-Breakers at Singles Nights:

  • Lock & Keys:  a fun mingling game where participants try to find their matching lock or key by interacting with others, sparking conversation and connection along the way.

  • “Find someone who…” cards: Attendees mingle to find someone who matches prompts like “has a pet” or “loves spicy food.”

The goal is to make it easier to connect naturally—without pressure.

What is a Lock& Key Ice-Breaker?

The Lock and Key ice-breaker is a fun, flirty mingling game designed to encourage conversations between guests. It works like this:

  • Participants are given either a lock or a key when they arrive (usually worn on a lanyard).

  • Your goal is to find the person whose key or lock matches yours—literally.

  • As you mingle, you try your key in others' locks (or vice versa) and chat along the way.

  • When a match is found and the lock opens, both people typically win a small prize and then receive a new lock/key to keep playing and meeting more people.

Why It Works:

  • It gives everyone a natural reason to talk to each other.

  • It's playful and removes awkward pressure.

  • It encourages interaction in a relaxed and light-hearted way.

Great for breaking the ice and sparking conversation—even if you don’t find your “perfect match,” you’re guaranteed to meet plenty of people!
