How does speed dating work?
On Arrival
When you arrive at one of our speed dating events you will be greeted, at the door, by one of our friendly team who will welcome you and explain how the evening will run. You will be shown where to congregate, usually the bar or seating areas, and your host will introduce you to the other participants who have arrived already. This is a very quick and relaxed introduction.
Dating Card
You will be provided with a dating card so you can make notes during the evening to help you decide who you would like to meet again. Name badges and pens are provided.
Time To Be Seated
Ladies
Once everyone has arrived, ladies will be seated at tables.
Gents
Gentlemen will all sit opposite one lady.
4 Minute Conversations
After 4 minute mini conversations, the hosts will sound a bell. This is when the gents will rotate to the next table, whilst ladies remain seated.
Repeat!
This process repeats until everyone has "dated" everyone, with a short break in the middle to top up your drink or freshen up.
Results
After you hand in your Dating Cards, the Diamond Singles Team will email you your results the following day.
But this is not the end!
We encourage people to stay on afterwards and continue to mingle and get to know everyone. This is a fun and relaxed way to talk to people about the experience you have just had. We find that this actually leads to great connections.
